Gingerbread House Part II: The Resolution

Thank you for all your gingerbread house suggestions!

I personally thought the gingerbread destruction was brilliant (I even wrote Jesse back in my best British accent), but when I suggested it (my boys love destroying things -- go figure!)

But alas, my 4 year old said, "You mean, DESTROY IT???" in his weepy voice and I knew that option was not to be.

So instead, our "elves" that came at Christmastime came back last night to take our gingerbread houses back to the North Pole on the Polar Express to be with all the other old gingerbread houses and they left a note behind and some cookies.

And my 4 year old was a little sad at first wondering what happened to the house and what was to become of it (he really grew quite attached to it!) And then the cares melted away with a bite of the cookie because it really was quite a treat-cookies are never allowed before lunchtime.

I will have to think this through better for next year!
