The Official Business of Wednesday

The official business of Wednesday is that there is no business except before I get into the lack of business, don't forget to enter my giveaway which ends like NOW! Well, soon. Today. And it's really cool and for a good cause too.

Do you ever dread writing down your to-do list? Because once you start writing it becomes a never-ending list and then when you cross stuff off (hurrah!) you add 10 more? And then you get sidetracked doing all of these other things not technically on the to-do list but totally important enough to have made the to-do list (even though they haven't?) But still all the other important stuff that actually made the to-do list still sits there looming off in the background?

Do pool guys have to know how to swim? I mean, is it an actual job requirement? I don't think I know any pool guys but I would think it would have to be a requirement because what a job hazard that would be if it wasn't.

Commercials this time of year scare the crap out of me. There are always these weird demonic heads popping up unexpectedly, completely stopping my heart and all that I am left with is the 1 second flash of a weird head with a perfectly round screaming open mouth and no teeth and it appears and reappears in my imagination for the rest of eternity.

I bought my first pumpkin spice latte last week, made pumpkin muffins the day after and I have bought my first cinnamon candle of fall this week. All I need now is a temperature and humidity level below 100 and that would round out fall quite nicely.

Yes I am enjoying my root-and-brown-football-helmet-free hair thankyouverymuch. I am not, however, enjoying the Mount Vesuvius that has erupted on my face.

I have no idea what to be for Halloween this year and yes I have to be something. Last year I was Batgirl, and now that I think about it I can't think of what I was the year before that (oh no, did I skip the year before? Really? Did I?? I can't think!) the year before that I was a sunny-side-up egg (I was pregnant) and my husband was bacon and the year before that, I was  a fat postpartum Hermione for a Halloween party that was canceled but no one told us and I had convinced my husband to be Harry Potter and wear the glasses and cloak and everything (he's not a dress-up-for-Halloween guy so this was a big deal) and I was stuck carrying these huge books at a bar because they were part of my outfit.

I am planning a little kid Halloween party and I saw the best idea ever for a Ghost town with buildings and everything and envisioned turning my living room into a tiny ghost town! And then I saw the directions and it's for a Ghost town that's about 6 inches tall.

I am running the Disney Wine and Dine half-marathon on Saturday and we are making our tutus tomorrow night! Yes, we're wearing tutus and by the way the race starts at 10 at night and ends with wine.

Coupon savings total for this week: $63. Not as much as last week, but still half a race registration.

Like a cheese stick, like a cheese stick. Now I'm feelin so fly like a cheese stick. (I just can't get that song out of my head.)

And finally, there's this, the "siwwy face."

Hope you're having a terrific Wednesday and you're getting lots and lots of stuff done today and all your very important thoughts are collected in one place just like me.
