Merry Christmas to YOU!! And a Candy Cane Cocktail!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you have a wonderful day with your family and friends and the people you love!

We're having an ugly Christmas sweater dinner today and I'm trying out this drink recipe from Emeril! It's a candy cane cocktail!

Ingredients:

  •  3 candy canes, crushed
  • 1/2 bottle vodka
  • 1 1/2 cups cranberry vodka
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur (recommended: Grand Marnier)
  • 2 cups macerated cherries
  • 2 quarts cranberry juice
  • 2 tablespoons grenadine
  • Ice cubes
Mix ingredients in a large bowl and enjoy!!

Have a great day everyone!

Merriest Christmas to you & yours, Christie! That ugly Christmas sweater dinner sounds like much fun. sfgate.com had an "Ugly Christmas Sweater Jubilee" contest on the parenting blog, and as the blog host said, "you know it's a great contest when half of the subjects being photographed have a drink in their hand." ;-)

And that drink sounds amazing. I might have to experiment with creating a sugar-free version of it.
